Fundraising Events in Review

The Virginia Mason Foundation holds major fundraising events each year to benefit patients and programs at Virginia Mason, Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason and Bailey-Boushay House. These events — made possible by thousands of generous donors and volunteers from our community — help raise support, educate and inspire participants.

Dreambuilders 2019 raised $2.7 million to support the new Obstetrics Program and Birth Center at Virginia Mason. Dreambuilders, now in its 28th year, is an extraordinary evening of excellent food, fun entertainment, live and silent auction hosted at the Westin in Downtown Seattle.

Swirl, our brand-new event to benefit the outpatient program at Bailey-Boushay House, raised $694,000 during Boeing Classic week. Guests enjoyed incredible food, wine tasting, and live and silent auctions at the stunning Hyatt on Lake Washington.

Illuminations Luncheon

Illuminations luncheon raised more than $540,000, benefiting Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason. The luncheon provides a chance for supporters to celebrate and learn more about the groundbreaking research happening at Benaroya Research Institute every day.

Towboat Invitational

Corporate sponsors Foss Maritime Company and Sause Bros. hosted the Towboat Invitational golf event raising $294,000 to benefit Virginia Mason and the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon.
